Care:
Peridot is a fairly soft stone and should be cared for as such. It is susceptible to fracture and damage when exposed to high heat and or chemicals such as sulfuric or hydrochloric acid. Peridot seems to be stable to exposure to light.
It is not advisable to clean peridot using ultrasonic or steam as it may severely damage the stone if it is loose. It is recommended to clean with warm, Soapy water.
